Cassone Construction is a family run business that has been operating in the Ottawa area since 1975. During this period, Cassone Construction Ltd. has built upwards of 100 high end custom homes as well as carrying out extensive renovations on many others.

Cassone Construction Ltd. is primarily a new home builder and is one of the original members in what is now known as the Tarion Warranty Corporation.

Over the past 30 years, Cassone Construction Ltd. has remained a family-owned and operated company. This means that we as a family are involved in every step of each and every project; From the planning stages right through to the Pre-Delivery Inspection that we conduct with each and every purchaser. We feel that this is vital in order to stay in touch not only with our clients and trades people but also in order to ensure that the quality of our homes remains at the highest possible level.

Domenic Cassone, Founder

Domenic Cassone immigrated from Italy to Canada as a young child and settled in Ottawa where he completed his schooling. In his early days, Domenic started his career as an Electrician, after which he began his own Insurance Sales company located on Somerset Street. During this period, Domenic often found himself building homes for friends and family including his first marital home.

Having always been fascinated with the real estate market, Domenic eventually completed his Real Estate Broker’s license and started Cassone Realty Inc. However, Domenic was still being asked and hired regularly to build houses for other people. In 1975 in began to operate as Cassone Construction as well as maintaining Cassone Realty Inc. By the late 1970s, having garnered a reputation for quality, consistency and integrity, Domenic incorporated Cassone Construction Ltd. in 1979 and began solely building and renovating homes in the Ottawa area.

Robert Haslett, General Manager

Rob Haslett spent his childhood years in Ottawa and graduated from Lisgar Collegiate and then completed his undergraduate degree in science from Dalhousie University in 1997. Upon graduation from Dalhousie, Rob joined Air Canada and worked out of their Vancouver, BC offices during which time he completed an additional year of schooling at the University of British Columbia. In 2000, Rob left Air Canada to join Cassone Construction as their field supervisor and is now the General Manager of the corporation and responsible for the majority of the company’s operations.

Sue Cassone, Sales Representative

Sue Cassone is an award winning top producer with Coldwell Banker First Ottawa Realty. She and her team bring with her an in-depth and extensive knowledge of both the new and infill housing markets. Sue and her team are a professional dynamic outfit that represent all parties in a comprehensive manner ensuring everyone’s satisfaction.
